The raw beauty of rocks has always fascinated me. Before I picked up a torch, I was a lapidary artist for several years, collecting and cutting stones. Now I combine that skill with metalsmithing to create modern heirloom jewelry inspired by the Southwest.
As an artist, I find jewelry is the perfect medium to reflect my value of individualism and care for our natural world. My designs are influenced from my years living in the Southwest and upbringing in Oklahoma. I highlight the stones in my work by using minimalistic settings and sometimes sand casting the stones themselves. I source the stones from my travels, backyard and visiting gem shows to find the highest quality and ethically sourced raw material.
My studio is located in the beautiful town of Pinos Altos, New Mexico, bordering the Gila National Forest. A few ways I keep my shop earth friendly is by using environmentally safe chemicals, practicing proper disposal protocols, and using recycled material in my packaging.
